San Geronimo Valley Presbyterian Church In 1992, Karin Payson, working as a designer for another architect, designed a major remodel of the San Geronimo Valley Presbyterian Church. Since a late church member bequeathed a gift, designated for certain physical improvements, the congregation has come together to chart a course for the future. The congregation wants to serve its members better, attract new members, and assure that it its facility is suitable for rent by outside groups for additional revenue. The project that KPa+d is now engaged in for the church has many purposes. We are converting an old train station on the site into meeting rooms and offices; building a new shed, with public toilets, to house storage and accommodate the local farmers’ market; and remodeling and building an addition to the preschool. The combined projects will create a sense of a campus where multiple activities can take place independently, simultaneously. |
