Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JFCS) | Santa Rosa, CA Jewish Family and Children’s Services is a nonsectarian, non-profit organization and is the oldest social services agency west of the Mississippi. With more than 40 programs throughout the Greater Bay Area, JFCS provides a wide array of services for individuals, families and people of all ages. This project was built in Santa Rosa, where the client load had increased beyond the capacity of the organization’s local offices. Located in an office park, JFCS required rooms to accommodate private counseling sessions, parenting classes, a children’s play room, and service coordinators for seniors, in addition to administrative offices and conference rooms. There is a one-way mirror between the play room and the parent-teaching room, so parents may observe their children at play as part of their own lessons in dealing with them. All spaces in the Santa Rosa facility have direct natural light except for the conference room and lunchroom.
